Azusa/San Bernardino
Does anyone know what is going on with the giant empty lot at Azusa and San Berdo.? They've closed pretty much every business south and east of that intersection; the latest one being the car wash and it looks horrible. There's a chain-link fence around the lot that is now extrememly overgrown and dry. And besides that everyone seems to have claimed it as "poster central". There are political campaign signs every 12 inches, plus flyers for nightclubs etc. Is it acceptable to post there? It's an eyesore and just plain ugly, as you sit at the traffic light. I think Covina is alot prettier than that. Should I call City Hall? Public Works? Community Development? Or does anyone know when or if someone will be developing? Any suggestions? Thanks... Mag

    This is the future location of the new Home Depot. There have been a couple of articles in the paper about it. It's being built by a private developer. A new Walgreens is also going on the corner of Azusa & San Bernardino Rd. where the gas station used to be. Call City Hall and I'm sure they can give you more information.

    I would call public works. It's not legal to post those posters without the property owner's permission.
