A few weeks ago, we had dinner at the new Crabby Chad's (formerly Logan's Hardware). The food was delicious (the rice needs help), and while we were there, we saw one of the owners of Cobblestone.... I asked him how business was, and his response was, "Slow." A couple of days later, I went by, to bring him some business, and there was a sign indicating, basically, that they would be closed for a few days. I went back again last week, and the windows are all papered-up, with notice that a new shop is coming (I forget the name), an additional location to the new owner's original location in, I think, La Verne!
I'll surely try out the new place when it opens, but I'm so sorry to see Cobblestone go. So much loving work went into turning that Gas Company office into a cozy relaxed setting for refreshment and community connections. I'll really miss the folks at Cobblestone....
