Tribune
Over the years I have sent letters to the Tribune, and they usually have been printed. Apparently they won't print a letter critizing them as the following letter was sent a couple of weeks ago but not printed.
__________ As a Tribune subscriber for over 40 years, I have a comment about the direction that the Tribune's editorial policy has changed over the years. In the early days the Tribune perhaps leaned a little bit right, but for the most part in recent years its guest columnists have been balanced, reflecting views ranging from liberal to moderate to conservative. But now the Tribune allows radical columnist Robert Scheer to spew his venom full of lies and slander, throwing the Tribune balance out the window. Even the LA Times chose to get rid of him. If it weren't for the Tribune's excellent coverage of local news and sports, and the fact there is no alternative available, I would consider cancelling my subscription, but I won't. My suggestion is for the Tribune to replace Scheer with intelligent columnists such as Charles Krauthammer or Michelle Malkin. __________
